Romanian stamp featuring the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation has entered the Guinness World Records as the longest postage stamp in the world, reports the Orthodoxia News Agency.

The unique edition entitled "Consecration of the National Cathedral" was issued by Romfilatelia and Romania Post. The stamp measures 252 millimeters in length and 36 millimeters in width.

It depicts the mosaic icon of the Holy Apostle Andrew from the cathedral's iconostasis, as well as a panoramic view of the cathedral surrounded by images of Christ and the Mother of God. The stamp was put into circulation at a price of 5 lei.

Romfilatelia Director Gabi Bulumac called the record certification a "medal of honor" for Romania. He expressed satisfaction that the world achievement is associated with the largest Orthodox cathedral. According to the director, the stamp is dedicated to the most representative place of worship of Romanian Orthodoxy.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that on October 26, 2025, the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation was consecrated in Bucharest, becoming the largest Orthodox church in the world. Thousands of pilgrims and senior officials of Romania attended the solemn ceremony.
