A Thousand UOC Faithful Celebrated the Patronal Feast in Krasnoilsk

About a thousand faithful gathered for the patronal feast of the community in honor of Saint Stephen the Great in the town of Krasnoilsk. This was reported by the faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the UOC on Facebook.

The solemn divine service on July 15, 2026, brought together not only the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church but also pilgrims from the Romanian and Moldovan Churches. A delegation led by the Romanian consul also arrived for the festive event.

The Divine Liturgy was led by Archimandrite Nektariy (Herman), abbot of the Monastery of Holy Prince Vladimir in Horeshty (Moldovan Orthodox Church). Together with the rector of the church, Protopriest Iliya Herman, clerics of the Romanian Orthodox Church and the clergy of the Storozhynets Deanery of the Chernivtsi Diocese prayed.

During the Liturgy, the clergy offered prayers for peace in Ukraine, deliverance from the enemy, and the preservation of those who have lost their homes. The homily was delivered by the rector of the Holy Trinity parish of the village of Bahrynivka, Mitrophoron Protopriest Kostiantyn Chobotar.

At the conclusion of the celebrations, the rector of the Krasnoilsk church thanked the clergy and parishioners for their concelebrated prayer on the day of the patronal feast.

As the SPJ reported, the village of Pyshky in the Khmelnytsky Diocese celebrated the 255th anniversary of the Pokrova church.
