Capsule laid in foundation of new UOC church in Mokrets

Metropolitan Volodymyr has laid a foundation capsule for a new Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Mokrets. The hierarch celebrated the rite of laying the foundation of the future Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos and blessed the cornerstone of the new building, the UOC Information and Education Department reports.

The event in the Volodymyr-Volynskyi Eparchy brought together clergy of the deanery, local residents, builders, and benefactors. Following the prayer service, Metropolitan Volodymyr congratulated the parish on the beginning of construction and invoked God's blessing upon everyone contributing to the building of the new church.

As the UOJ reported earlier, Metropolitan Theodosiy blessed the foundation of a new church at the Orthodox gymnasium in Cherkasy.
