The 25th anniversary of the glorification of Hieromartyr Nicholas of Iskrovka was marked prayerfully at the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church of the Alexandrian Diocese of the UOC in the village of Iskrovka, Kirovohrad region. This was reported by the diocesan press service.

The Divine Liturgy on July 17, 2026, was led by Metropolitan Boholep of Alexandriia and Svitlovodsk, co-celebrated by the clergy of the diocese and visiting clergy.

During the service, special prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, and the soldiers. After the Liturgy, the clergy and faithful performed a procession of the Cross around the church with a prayer to Hieromartyr Nicholas.

Hundreds of pilgrims from various parts of Ukraine came to Iskrovka for the feast to venerate the memory of the saint and to pray at the place of his ministry.

Hieromartyr Nicholas of Iskrovka (in the world, Mykola Mykhailychenko) was the rector of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in the village of Iskrovka. In 1919, during the persecution of the Church, he accepted a martyr's death for his faithfulness to Christ. Shortly before his death, the saint said that the Lord had revealed to him his future path of martyrdom. In 2000, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church numbered Father Nicholas among the saints, and his holy relics were discovered and became a place of prayerful veneration for the faithful.

As the UOJ reported, a procession of the Cross with a reliquary of the relics of the Alexandrian saints was held in Znamianka.
