UOC Primate presides over patronal feast at St. Olga Cathedral in Kyiv

On July 24, 2026, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry officiated at the festive Divine Liturgy at St. Olga Cathedral in Kyiv on the occasion of its patronal feast, the Kyiv Metropolia of the UOC reports.
His Beatitude was concelebrated by Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar, Metropolitan Victor of Khmelnytskyi and Starokostiantyniv, Archbishop Dionysiy of Pereiaslav and Vyshneve, Archbishop Lavr of Irpin, Archbishop Mark of Borodianka, Bishop Arkadiy of Hostomel, as well as the cathedral clergy and visiting clergy.
During the Little Entrance, the UOC Primate awarded the cathedral’s honorary rector, Archpriest Vsevolod Rybchynsky, the Order of the Pochaiv Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. After the reading of the Holy Gospel, His Beatitude addressed the Kyiv faithful with a sermon.
During the service, the clergy offered special petitions for deliverance from the enemy and for the protection of those left homeless by the war. The Primate also invoked God’s blessing upon people of goodwill who help those in need.
After the Liturgy, the clergy celebrated a prayer service to Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga. In conclusion, Metropolitan Onuphry congratulated the parishioners on the feast and wished them the prayerful intercession of the cathedral’s heavenly patroness.
As the UOJ previously reported, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry congratulated Ukrainians on Statehood Day.
