New head of Bessarabian Metropolis urges Moldovan authorities to cooperate

The new head of the Bessarabian Metropolis of the Romanian Church stated that the inauguration of the new government and his own election open opportunities for strengthening cooperation in the social and spiritual fields.
According to the hierarch, the clergy, monastic communities and social centers of the metropolis are ready to become active partners of state institutions in projects contributing to the development of the country.
In his statement, Metropolitan Anthony highlighted the key areas of cooperation as youth education, support for the traditional family, and the preservation of cultural and spiritual heritage.
He emphasized that both institutions serve the same society and share a common concern for the well-being of the people and the development of local communities. The head of the Metropolis of Bessarabia also expressed gratitude to Romania for its ongoing support of the Republic of Moldova and invoked God’s blessing upon the work of the new Cabinet of Ministers.
The hierarch expressed hope to hold an official meeting with the new government in order to jointly determine the areas of this cooperation and fully realize the potential of the partnership between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Metropolis of Bessarabia.
Previously, the UOJ reported that the Romanian Church elected a new head of the Metropolis of Bessarabia.
