The Holy Prince Volodymyr Monastery in the village of Kolinkivtsy celebrated its patronal feast. The solemn divine service was led by Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, co-served by hierarchs and clergy of two Local Churches.

Metropolitan Meletiy was concelebrated by Bishops Cleopas of Novoselytsia, Nikita of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia, Job of Kitsman, the monastery’s abbot Archimandrite Clement (Perchyk), and the diocesan secretary, Archpriest Dmytro Shcherban. The service was also attended by a guest, the protosyncellus of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Archimandrite David. The Divine Liturgy was also attended in prayer by the abbots of monasteries of the Chernivtsi Eparchy, numerous clergy, and hundreds of believers.

During the service, the clergy and laity offered fervent prayers for peace in Ukraine and for the deliverance of the people from the enemy. The faithful asked the Lord for support for all who grieve, for those who have lost their homes, and for help for people of good will who sacrificially assist those in need. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, the clergy led a festive procession around the church with the reading of the Gospel and the sprinkling of the worshippers with holy water.

At the end of the divine service, Metropolitan Meletiy congratulated the brotherhood and parishioners on the feast day of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr. In his response, Archimandrite Clement thanked the hierarchs and pilgrims for their common prayer on the day of the patronal celebration.

The celebration in Kolinkivtsy was preceded by a large-scale religious procession from Chernivtsi. On July 27, around 500 faithful of the UOC, despite the summer heat, covered a 25-kilometer journey to the monastery of the Baptizer of Kyivan Rus'. The pilgrims walked this distance in prayer for the blessing of the Ukrainian land.

As the UOJ reported, an archimandrite of the Romanian Church led the festive Liturgy in Storozhynets.
