Government representatives, together with Serhiy Dumenko, discussed the development of cultural routes at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, as well as strengthening state-OCU cooperation, reports Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna on Facebook.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Olena Kovalska, Deputy Minister of Culture Ivan Verbytsky, Head of the State Ethnopolitics Service Viktor Yelensky, and Director General of the Reserve Maksym Ostapenko. The participants considered "the openness of the space to people, the development of pilgrimage and cultural routes."

Berezhna noted that "the Lavra has enormous potential for development as a place visited by people from all regions of Ukraine and from abroad."

"We discussed practical steps for developing the infrastructure, strengthening cooperation between the state, the Reserve, and the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, and creating new opportunities for visitors," the minister said.

Special attention was paid to preparations for the Lavra’s 975th anniversary. According to Berezhna, this date is important for the entire country, and a program of celebrations is currently being developed.

As the UOJ reported, radical combat units were presented at the Lavra's Refectory Church.
