Holy Spirit Cathedral of the UOC in Kherson damaged by drone strike

In the early hours of August 4, 2026, a Russian drone struck the Holy Spirit Cathedral of Kherson. This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Diocese.

According to the diocese, the attack occurred at around 3:30 a.m. The strike damaged the cathedral building, blew out windows, and caused damage to residential premises.

The Kherson Diocese noted that no one was injured as a result of the strike.

As the SPJ reported, the Holy Spirit Cathedral has been subjected to shelling on multiple occasions since the beginning of hostilities.
