On August 5, 2026, on the day of veneration of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry led the Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Knyazhychi Monastery of the Boryspil Eparchy, reports the  UOC Information and Education Department.

On this day, the monastery celebrated its patronal feast – one of the side altars of the monastery's main church is consecrated in honor of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God.

The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was concelebrated by the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Antony of Boryspil and Brovary, Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh, Archbishop Ambrose of Zhuriv, Archbishop Mark of Borodianka, Bishop Filaret of Baryshivka, the brotherhood of the monastery, and guests in holy orders.

During the service, prayers were offered for the victims of Russian strikes on the Kyiv region, and special prayers were raised for peace in Ukrainian land, deliverance from the enemy, and people who have lost their homes.

His Beatitude performed the diaconal ordination of Taras Chupak during the Liturgy.

After the service, the clergy and faithful performed a glorification before the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God, and held a procession with a copy of the icon. Metropolitan Onuphry congratulated those present on the feast and presented church awards to the monks of Knyazhychi Monastery.

As the UOJ reported, the UOC won the case over the land and property of the Transfiguration Knyazhychi Monastery in the Kyiv region on May 21, 2026.
