PCU showed the number of people at the Transfiguration in the seized Vladimir Cathedral

The PCU's "All-Night Vigil" on the eve of one of the twelve great feasts at the Dormition Cathedral in Volodymyr took place with an almost complete absence of worshippers.

On the evening of August 5, 2026, PCU clerics performed a service in the church seized from the UOC on the eve of the Transfiguration of the Lord according to the new calendar. The published photographs show that the vast cathedral was virtually empty of parishioners. Judging by the photographs, only three "priests," one server, and a choir of five people took part in the "service."

Normally, on the eve of the twelve great feasts, Orthodox churches are filled with many faithful. However, the empty walls of the seized shrine in Volodymyr demonstrate the lack of support for Dumenko's structure among local residents.

As a reminder, in October 2025, the state forcibly seized the buildings of the Dormition Cathedral and the diocesan administration from the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the UOC. During the forcible seizure, law enforcement officers and radicals beat worshippers with batons, obstructed filming, and choked the cathedral's deacon by the throat.

In June 2026, the cathedral community, under threat of forcible eviction, was compelled to abandon the historic chapel as well, where parishioners had been praying after being expelled from the city's main church.

As the UOJ reported, social media showed who attends PCU services at the Lavra.
