Metropolitan Feodor of Mukachevo Consecrated a New Church at the Monastery in the Village of Rakoshyno

Metropolitan Feodor of Mukachevo performed the rite of consecration of the altar and the new church in honor of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon at the monastery in the village of Rakoshyno. This was reported by the Mukachevo Diocese.

Following the rite of consecration, Metropolitan Feodor celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the new church. The brotherhood of the monastery and numerous guests in holy orders concelebrated with the archpastor during the service.

During the Liturgy, the clergy and laity offered a fervent prayer for peace on Ukrainian soil, for the cessation of the war, and for the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the conclusion of the service, the faithful performed a procession of the cross around the church.

After the procession of the cross, Metropolitan Feodor addressed those present with an archpastoral homily. The hierarch congratulated the abbot, the brotherhood of the monastery, and all the parishioners on the consecration of the new Panteleimon church. Metropolitan Feodor also expressed his deep gratitude to the abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Mitrofan (Shymon), the brotherhood, and all the parishioners for their labors in the construction and beautification of the shrine.

As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, Metropolitan Meletiy consecrated a new house church of the UOC in Stari Broskovtsi.
