Met. Theodore of Mukachevo consecrates new church at Rakoshyno monastery

Metropolitan Theodore of Mukachevo performed the rite of consecration of the altar and the new church dedicated to the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon at the monastery in the village of Rakoshyno, the Mukachevo Eparchy reports.
Following the consecration, Metropolitan Theodore celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the new church. The monastery brethren and numerous visiting clergy concelebrated with the hierarch.
During the Liturgy, clergy and faithful offered special prayers for peace in Ukraine, an end to the war and the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the service, the faithful took part in a cross procession around the church.
Following the procession, Metropolitan Theodore addressed those present with an archpastoral sermon. The hierarch congratulated the abbot, the monastery brethren and all the parishioners on the consecration of the new Church of St Panteleimon. Metropolitan Theodore also expressed his deep gratitude to the monastery’s abbot, Archimandrite Mitrofan (Shimon), the brethren and all the parishioners for their efforts in building and beautifying the church.
As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Meletiy consecrated a new UOC house church in Stari Broskivtsi.
