Dnipropetrovsk Metropolitan consecrates new cross and dome of Dnipro church

Metropolitan Irenei of Dnipropetrovsk and Pavlohrad blessed the cross and dome for the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called. The hierarch performed the rite of consecration after the Divine Liturgy, reports the Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy.

On August 9, 2026, Metropolitan Irenei led the patronal feast at St. Panteleimon’s Church in Dnipro’s Shevchenkivskyi District, after which he performed the rite of consecration of the cross and dome for St. Andrew the First-Called Church in the urban settlement of Aviatorske.

The hierarch was concelebrated by Archpriest Nikolai Nichiporuk, secretary of the Dnipropetrovsk Diocesan Administration, and Archpriest Valerii Kolesnyk, the church’s rector. At the conclusion of the festive service, Metropolitan Irenei blessed the church community.

As the UOJ reported, a consecrated cross and dome were installed on a UOC church in Teklivka.
