TRC detains Metropolitan Serhiy of Tulchyn

Metropolitan Serhiy of Tulchyn and Bratslav and Archpriest Anatoliy Vyshnevyi, a cleric of the Tulchyn Eparchy, were detained in Kyiv, Archpriest Nikita Chekman reported on Telegram.
According to the metropolitan’s subdeacon, at around 9 a.m. on August 16, TRC officers took Metropolitan Serhiy and Archpriest Anatoliy from their vehicle in Kyiv’s Darnytsia district. At the time of publication, there was no contact with either of them.
The metropolitan and the priest are currently at the Darnytsia District TRC and Social Support Center in Kyiv, where they are undergoing a military medical examination. Lawyers are working to establish all the circumstances of the incident and have asked Orthodox believers to pray for Metropolitan Serhiy and Fr Anatoliy.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that TRC officers in Chernivtsi had attempted to abduct a UOC bishop.
