TRC officers detain Kharkiv Seminary lecturer

In Kharkiv, TRC officers detained Serhiy Zolotukhin, a lecturer at Kharkiv Theological Seminary. According to UOJ sources, military recruitment officers forcibly took the lecturer away on the morning of August 15, 2026.

Zolotukhin was last in contact at 7:44 a.m., after which all communication with him ceased. He headed the seminary’s liturgical practice program and taught liturgics.

He is well known to students in both the theology and choir-directing departments of Kharkiv Theological Seminary. His seriously ill father, who requires constant care, remains at home.

Zolotukhin is the second lecturer at the Kharkiv theological school to be detained by military recruitment officers.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that TRC officers had detained a lecturer at Pochaiv Seminary.
