UOC opens enrollment for catechist and Orthodox psychology training

With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, enrollment has opened at the Distance Education Center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for the 2026–2028 academic years, repors the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC.
The Center operates with the support of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary and trains laypeople who wish to deepen their knowledge of Orthodox doctrine and participate in spiritual-educational, catechetical, and social ministry at the parish.
The program lasts two years, or four semesters. Upon completion, graduates receive a certificate from the center in one of two fields: educational organizer for parish spiritual and educational work, or Orthodox psychologist.
The organizers note that detailed information about admission requirements and the curriculum can be obtained on the center's official website and through the listed contact phone numbers. The program curator is Archpriest Alexander Zhuk; coordination is also carried out by Hieromonk Sebastian.
As the UOJ reported, enrollment for catechetical courses has begun at the Kyiv Theological Schools.
