The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS) continues its efforts through the courts to terminate the activities of the Korets Holy Trinity Stavropegial Convent. The case in question is No. 855/2/26.

On August 14, 2026, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal resumed consideration of the case but simultaneously suspended the proceedings. The reason was the court’s March 16, 2026 ruling returning the monastery’s counterclaim. That issue must now be reconsidered.

Thus, the court has not yet ruled on terminating the activities of the Korets Monastery. Consideration of DESS’s lawsuit will resume after the issue of the monastery’s counterclaim has been reviewed.

On August 18, DESS reported the court’s decision and published a copy of the ruling on its official website.

As reported by the UOJ, the Supreme Court opened appeal proceedings in the case concerning the UOC’s Korets Monastery.
