Odessa Seminary Completes Entrance Examinations

Odessa Theological Seminary has selected its new students. Faculty completed entrance examinations for the choral conducting, iconography, and gold embroidery departments at the Archangel Michael Women's Monastery. This was reported by the Odessa Diocese.

The monastery's spiritual father, Archbishop Viktor of Artsyz, led a prayer service before the examinations began. The hierarch celebrated the service by the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail, co-served by the monastery clergy. During the prayer, those gathered asked the Lord to grant the applicants wisdom, spiritual and physical strength, patience, God's help, and success in passing the examinations.

After the service, the applicants proceeded to the entrance examinations. The candidates demonstrated to the examiners their knowledge, creative abilities, and professional skills. All candidates confirmed their readiness to study their chosen art for the sake of future service to the Church.

As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, Odessa Seminary presented the diploma works of the iconography department.
