The wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, opened the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen at the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, justifying the choice of venue with the history of the ancient monastery, reports the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" on Facebook.

Within the Ukrainian segment, delegates raised issues of mutual support, cognitive warfare, and the mental health of citizens. The First Lady justified the choice of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra as the venue by its complex historical fate.

According to her, the shrine has survived numerous raids, the destruction of the Dormition Cathedral in 1941, and "centuries of spiritual occupation." "We understand resilience as a moral and psychological category," Zelenska emphasized. "We in Ukraine, like our Lavra, are enduring a great deal right now. And it is easier when you can share what you have been through and turn that experience into something useful for others."

The National Preserve also stated that during the 25 years remaining before the Lavra’s millennium anniversary, Ukraine should “strengthen the Ukrainian voice” of the monastery and present it to the world in a dignified manner as an integral part of Ukrainian and European history and culture.

As the UOJ reported, a presentation of radical combat units was held in the Refectory Church of the Lavra.
