UOC hierarch consecrates new bell tower in Bukovo, Transcarpathia

Bishop Mark of Rakhiv, vicar bishop of the Khust Eparchy, consecrated a new bell tower in the Transcarpathian village of Bukovo. The bishop performed the festive rite following the Divine Liturgy at the Church of St John the Baptist in Bukovo, the Khust Eparchy reported.

Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv presided over the festive Divine Liturgy at the Church of St John the Baptist. Bishop Mark of Rakhiv and clergy of the eparchy concelebrated with the ruling hierarch. During the service, numerous faithful joined the clergy in offering prayers to God. The worshippers asked the Lord for peace and His blessing upon the Ukrainian people.

After the consecration rite, the hierarchs congratulated the parish rector and the faithful on the occasion. They wished the parishioners to glorify God without ceasing and expressed the hope that the sound of the new bell tower would remind them of the need to continually praise Him.

As the UOJ reported, the vicar bishop of the Khust Eparchy consecrated a new chapel in the settlement of Yasinia.
