By Dumenko's blessing, a symphonic concert was held at the Lavra

The orchestra of the National Philharmonic performed in front of the Dormition Cathedral. The head of the OCU blessed the secular musical event on the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. This was reported by the National Reserve on Facebook.

The musicians dedicated this concert simultaneously to the 975th anniversary of the founding of the monastery, the 35th anniversary of Ukrainian Independence, and the centennial jubilee of the National Reserve. The Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine performed the program under the direction of Alla Kulbaba. The Lavra bell tower was used as an instrument within the symphony orchestra during the performance of one of the works.

The organizers noted that the event united the spiritual heritage of Ukraine and contemporary academic art, revealing the millennium-long history of the shrine as a center of Ukrainian identity, culture, and resilience. In their view, "the concert became a powerful manifesto of the unity of Ukrainian spiritual and musical tradition."

This is already the fourth time a symphony orchestra event has been held on the territory of the monastery. The organizers were pleased that it is not the first time it has brought together lovers of classical music in the square in front of the Dormition Cathedral.

As the UOJ reported, Zelenska opened the First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit at the Lavra.
