A Russian attack on the morning of October 13, 2026, damaged the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s St. Andrew the First-Called Church in the village of Strumivka, according to the Volyn Eparchy.
Video footage released by the eparchy shows shattered windows and damage to the church walls caused by the blast wave.
Amid the threat of further Russian attacks, the eparchy urged clergy, parishioners, and all residents of the region to heed air raid warnings and follow safety precautions.
The eparchy also said it was offering prayers to the Lord for peace in Ukraine and the protection of the Ukrainian people.
As the UOJ previously reported, the UOC’s Exaltation of the Cross Church in Kyiv was also damaged in a Russian attack. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, churches and other religious buildings across Ukraine have repeatedly sustained damage from Russian strikes.
