On this topic Analyst: Ending the war is key condition for Ukrainian nation's survival
Oleksiy Kushch stated that if the war continues, the Ukrainian nation risks reaching a point of no return in its demographic crisis.

According to the expert, Ukraine is facing a critical demographic imbalance, with deaths outnumbering births by 3.5 to one.

"In the first half of this year, there were 3.5 deaths for every child born in Ukraine. For every 10 births, there were 35 deaths. Given the extremely low birth rate, we can expect the situation to remain unchanged for another 10 or even 20 years," he said.

Voskoboinyk noted that the country's catastrophic population decline and severe labor shortage will force Ukraine to recruit large numbers of migrant workers from abroad after the war.

As the UOJ previously reported, Vasyl Voskoboinyk had called for the "managed" recruitment of migrants from abroad.
