Believers of the Chernivtsi and Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC brought about 30 tons of humanitarian aid for the Sviatohirsk Lavra and residents of nearby villages.

The charity event took place on the cathedral grounds with the blessing of Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna. Aid was provided to people who had fled Pokrovsk, Nikopol, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and other Ukrainian cities affected by the fighting.

Volunteers and parishioners distributed warm women's clothing, children's clothes, shoes, and hygiene kits containing shampoo and toothpaste, all free of charge. Sweets and hot tea were also provided to everyone attending the event, with approximately 100 liters of tea served throughout the day.

The cathedral community thanked local business owners for donating clothing and footwear, as well as parishioners for preparing refreshments and helping organize the event. The organizers emphasized that such initiatives are a way to demonstrate Christian love and support people facing difficult circumstances.

As the UOJ previously reported, the Favor Foundation has called for donations to support UOC charity canteens.
