President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that 9.5 million Ukrainians who lost their homes and left abroad must return home to rebuild the country. He said this in an interview with the American TV channel Fox News.
According to the head of state, the main condition for people's return and the restoration of normal life is a ceasefire. Zelensky noted that freezing the conflict along the current front line is a real way to put an end to this war.
In addition, the Ukrainian President pointed to the need to obtain firm security guarantees from the United States and Europe. He also added that the agreement reached as a result of negotiations must be supported by the Ukrainian people through parliament and a referendum.
As the UOJ reported, earlier Zelensky urged the EU to find at least 70 billion euros for Ukraine, otherwise, in his words, Europe will face an influx of 20 million Ukrainians.
