The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Ukrainian police have launched an investigation into a fake video with chants about Russia in Russian at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, reports the SBU press service.
"Those who, amid the full-scale war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine, are waiting for the "awakening of Mother Rus’" should understand that this harms the security and interests of Ukraine and our citizens. And we will not allow such manifestations," SBU chief Vasyl Maliuk said.
"The National Police of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine are already working with the situation regarding the video from the UOC service in one of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra temples<...>," Ukrainian Culture and Information Policy Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko said on his Telegram channel.
According to Tkachenko, it is necessary to establish the authenticity of the video.
"If the video turns out to be authentic, we call for immediate procedural action against the UOC leaders," the minister stressed.
As earlier reported, the video with songs about Russia in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra turned out to be fake.
