UOC Nizhyn Eparchy provides aid to families affected by shelling
Priests of the UOC Nizhyn Eparchy provided financial assistance to four families whose homes were damaged by shelling.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church's Nizhyn Eparchy visited the village of Volodkova Divytsia in the Nizhyn district to provide financial assistance to four families whose homes had been damaged by shelling, the eparchy reports.
Archpriest Oleksandr Hladysh, head of the eparchy's social services department, Archpriest Mykhailo Hulyk, dean of the Nosivka church district, and Archpriest Oleksandr Zhyla met with residents whose homes were damaged in the attack.
One family was particularly hard hit. Ten-year-old Artem suffered burns over nearly 50% of his body and is currently receiving treatment abroad.
During the visit, the clergy delivered financial assistance to all four affected families and conveyed Metropolitan Clement's condolences and spiritual support.
As the UOJ previously reported, the Nizhyn Eparchy launched a fundraiser to help victims of shelling in Pryluky.
