Ukrainians consider Kiev-Pechersk Lavra a symbol of the country – e-survey

Respondents of the joint project of socio-political network Changeua and TV channel "Inter", "Ukraine from A to Z", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the state independence, gave the highest number of votes to the oldest Orthodox monastery in Rus – the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC

The survey, which lasted more than two weeks, involved 13 384 respondents. Everyone had an opportunity to vote for the phenomenon and the person personifying Ukraine. 

As noted by the organizers of the project, the results proved once again that "Ukraine is various and multifaceted, but this is our strength." 

Also the top five symbols that most Ukrainians associate with the homeland  includes: the Petrikov painting, Holy Prince Yaroslav the Wise, the Carpathians, "Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka".
