In Kiev region radicals wrecked a UOC church under construction (VIDEO)
The church was being erected by the UOC religious community of the “Dormition of the Holy Mother”. The church was built on the private property – instead of a small shop owned by native resident Elena (she asked not to mention her last name). When the local radicals got down to ruining the walls of the church under construction, the police was called. The investigator made up a protocol. The investigation is pending.
Yet the radicals pledge to further stand in the way of the church building in their town. According to the UOJ source, the headwoman of Borovaya – a teacher of English in a local school – has been chased. The woman announced she is not afraid of threats and will stick to her faith notwithstanding.
There is not a single UOC church in Borovaya town. In 1995 the church of Dormition of the Holy Mother was seized by representatives of the Kiev Patriarchate.
The UOJ is watching the developments.
