Believers of UOC Diocese in Cherkassy donate medication and foodstuff to soldiers in ATO zone

Orthodox faithful of Cherkassy region have collected nearly two tons of foodstuff and pharmaceuticals estimated 3500 hryvnas for the militaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deployed in Donetsk region near Kramatorsk city. It is reported by the diocesan site.

Residents of Drabov and Zolotonosha districts of Cherkassy region decided to provide their assistance to the fellow countrymen Andrey Shirokiy and Sergey Sherstiuk, who conduct military service in that regiment, as well as other soldiers.

The collected humanitarian cargo was delivered to the ATO zone in the personal cars of senior father of St. Resurrection temple in Bespalovka village Archimandrite Lucian and Gelmiazov village resident Aleksey Lisovoy.

It ‘s not for the first time that volunteers have made a trip to the military zone with humanitarian aid. The soldiers expressed their gratitude to the priest and Orthodox believers of Cherkassy region for their material and spiritual support.
