UOC priest saves a man

On January 7, returning from the festive Divine service, priest of the UOC Taras Zabudko rescued a man from freezing. Because of severe cold and strong wind the man’s legs were no longer walking, and he, in his words, "was sure he would die." The temperature that day dropped to"- 17°C". It was extremely cold and windy.

The man freezing by the roadside was discovered by a son of a priest.

"The son cried out that there was a man over there. We turned round the car and drove to the place to find a guy of 30 years old in a green jacket on his knees," writes the priest about what happened on his FB page.

Commenting to the UOJ on the incident, father Taras said that he posted the story with the sole purpose: to encourage people not to be hard-hearted and indifferent but help their neighbour.
