Metropolitan Volodymyr Consecrated the Cross and Domes for a UOC Church in Kamianske
In the Kamianske Diocese, the domes and cross were consecrated for the church of Venerable Agapitus of the Caves, which is under construction.
Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kamianske and Tsarychanskyi, on August 19, 2026, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, performed the consecration of the dome and cross for the UOC church in honor of Venerable Agapitus of the Kyiv Caves, which is being built in the city of Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by the press service of the Kamianske Diocese.
After the completion of the consecration, the hierarch noted that the erection of the cross on the church holds special significance: it visibly testifies that the shrine is dedicated to Christ, and the church itself becomes a spiritual landmark for people. The appearance of a new cross over the city was called by the bishop a good and joyful event, as it reminds everyone of God, faith, and hope.
Metropolitan Volodymyr expressed his wish that the construction of the church would continue successfully and that it would soon become a place of prayer and spiritual support for the residents of Kamianske.
As the UOJ reported, in the village of Zalom in Zakarpattia, the altar throne of the UOC Transfiguration Church was consecrated.
