“East-West together”: 250 young citizens of Lugansk go on pilgrimage around Ukraine

On 11 January 250 children from Lugansk region started on a journey around Ukraine within the action “East-West together”. Apart from the regional administration, who were seeing off the “Friendship Train”, the youngsters were blessed by the clergy of Severodonetsk eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. It is reported by the UOC Information and Education Department.

Blessed by Archbishop of Severodonetsk and Starobelsk Nikodim, eparchy’s secretary Archimandrite Irinarchus (Tymchuk) wished to the travelers grace from God. He read a prayer, aspersed children, having blessed them for a safe journey.

Deputy Chair of Lugansk Regional State Administration P. Lishik and head of the Regional Education Department Y. Stetsiuk wished a nice journey and worthwhile rest to the young residents of Lugansk region. The children are going to visit Kiev, Lvov and Khyrov.
