The President stated that the Anglican bishop, who called on him to have mercy upon “LGBT children”, is dragging the church into political games.

U.S. President Donald Trump took to the social media platform Truth Social to emotionally respond to the sermon delivered by Washington's Episcopal Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, who urged him to have mercy upon gay and transgender children, as well as undocumented migrants.

"The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater. She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart," Trump stated.

According to the President, Budde “failed to mention the large number of illegal migrants that came into our Country and killed people.” He noted that this has resulted in a "giant crime wave" across the United States.

"Apart from her inappropriate statements, the service was a very boring and uninspiring one!" the U.S. President concluded.

Trump also called on her and the church to apologize to him.

“She is not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!”

Earlier, UOJ reported that Washington Bishop Mariann Budde, representing the Episcopal Anglican Church, used her sermon to urge Trump to have nmercy upon the children identifying as homosexual and transgender.

“There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent families – some who fear for their lives," the bishop assured the audience.

After the service, Trump told reporters that he was not impressed by the sermon or the service overall.
