Five-year-old Valentina Miron, who has undergone 70 surgeries, is taken to Germany for treatment by UOC priest

On February 1, 2017, the ailing girl Valentina Miron and her grandmother, accompanied by Archpriest Viktor Zemlianoy will take a flight to Germany from Kyiv Boryspil International Airport's Terminal D. The Social Department of the Rivne diocese of the UOC raised funds to send the five-year girl for treatment in a Frankfurt-on-Main clinic.

In Ukraine, the five-year patient failed to make an accurate diagnosis. Almost every month the girl has to undergo a surgery on the larynx: the child can’t breathe normally because of numerous papillomas, which need to be removed. Valentina is under the care of her grandmother after the parents have abandoned her.

The Social Department of the Rivne diocese was able to find sponsors and raised the necessary 13,000 euros for treatment.

At 8:30 am, at the entrance to the Terminal D, Archpriest Viktor Zemlianoy can answer to reporters’ questions.
