Sts. Cyril and Methodius remind Christians of Europe of the unity of faith, – Pope Francis

On 15 February, during the General Audience in the Paul VI Hall, Pope Francis noted Tuesday’s celebration of the liturgical feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius, evangelizers of the Slavs and co-patrons of Europe, reports Vatican Radio.

Addressing numerous pilgrims, Pope Francis said, “These two brothers from Thessaloniki brought the Gospel to the Slavic peoples. Up to now they have reminded Europe and us all of the need to maintain the unity of faith, tradition, Christian culture, and to live the Gospel every day.”

Speaking to the young pilgrims, the sick and newlyweds, the Pope urged them to become missionary disciples of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
