Angel of Faith disappears from Kontraktovaya Square in Kiev

On February 19, the sculpture Angel of Faith, established last December as part of the "Angels of nations, with faith in Ukraine" project disappeared from Kontraktova Square in Kiev, reports Strana with reference to activist Martha Vinnitskaya, who wrote about that on her FB page.

"This is all that remains of Angel of Faith, presented by the Embassy of Moldova to Podol residents, Kievites, Ukrainians",  wrote Vinnitskaya.

There was only a foundation left of the Angel of Faith, on which the sculpture stood.

According to the residents of Kiev, as early as this Friday the sculpture was in its place, but even then the angel was damaged. In social networks Podol residents expressed the idea that the sculpture must be restored.

Under the project, it is planned to install more than 20 sculptures of angels 1.3 m high in Kiev. They will form a tourist route "The Way of Angels" and tell an urban legend why an angel appeared in this place and what the sculpture symbolizes.

Earlier, five angels have been set: Angel of Enlightenment from Bulgarian Embassy – in St. Michael's Square, Angel of Destiny from the Embassy of Latvia - in Pochtovaya Square, Angel of Brotherhood from Lithuania - in Andreevsky Descent, Angel of Faith from Moldova - in Kontraktovaya Square, Angel of Innovation from Israel – in the Expocentre.
