This is not Christianly, – Head of the MFA of Russia about Ukraine's veto on UNSC statement of Churkin death

The decision of Ukraine to block a special statement of the UN Security Council President in commemoration of Permanent Representative of Russia Vitaliy Churkin is “not Christianly”. Such comment was given by head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.

According to him, such actions of Kiev are “savage and inhuman” and “beyond good and evil”. Lavrov also expressed his suspicions on Ukraine’s Permanent Representative in the UNO having been ordered to veto the statement of the UNSC’s President.

“I nearly have no doubts the Ukrainian Representative would not dare make such a vagary, therefore he was told to. This is not Christianly, but current Ukrainian authorities got us accustomed that certain persons in their country treat Russians namely in this way, including those who are reluctant to dance to the neo-Nazi’s piping”, said Lavrov.

Ukraine has been presiding in the UN Security Council since 1 February.
