A new UOC church was consecrated at the Horodylivsky Monastery in Zakarpattia
On September 10, 2026, on the feast day of Venerable Job of Pochaiv, Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv performed the consecration of the altar in the church of the Khust Diocese of the UOC. The consecration took place in the church of the Panteleimon Men's Monastery in the village of Horodylivо, as reported by the diocesan press service.
After the completion of the consecration rite, the ruling bishop of the Khust Diocese led the Divine Liturgy. During the service, special prayers were offered for peace on Ukrainian soil, for its defenders, for deliverance from the enemy, as well as for people who have found themselves in despair and lost their homes, and for all those who help those in need.
In his address after the dismissal, Bishop Mark congratulated the brotherhood of the monastery on the consecration of the church and told the faithful about the life journey and spiritual feat of Venerable Job of Pochaiv. The archpastor called upon all those present to emulate his faith, humility, patience, and love for God.
As the SPJ reported, the vicar of the Khust Diocese performed a monastic tonsure at the monastery of the village of Lipcha.
