Results of the meeting: to seal not only the church but also the bell tower in Kolomyia
"The meeting of the working group began, as it was planned yesterday, at 14:00 and was chaired by the city head," said Vladimir Boytsan. "The preliminary agreed list of working group of 24 people was approved. The meeting concluded with the following agreements. First, outdoor services of the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church were scheduled with a 30-minute break so that people could calmly disperse. Secondly, an agreement was reached to seal not only the church but also the bell tower, which is located near the church."
The deputy mayor said that the next meeting on the fate of the church will be held on Friday, June 9, at 10:00. Until the question is fully resolved, the police will be on duty at the church.
"As to how soon this conflict situation can be resolved, I can say only one thing: everything is in the hands of God," said Boytsan. "It could be either tomorrow or in a week, or in a month."
Answering the question whether representatives of the "Black Hundred", who attempted to seize the church on June 4, would be allowed to enter the church premises, the official replied that there was no reason for a prohibition.
