UOC-KP wins the right to build a church in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky
Representatives of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky City Council filed a motion to postpone the hearing because they did not study the case file. The judges decided to consider the case. And in a few minutes, they made a verdict in favor of the Kiev Patriarchate.
Together with the KP representatives, activists of the Odessa "Right Sector" unit were present in the room.
In September 2016, the fighters of the Azov battalion promised not to let the city council deputies leave the conference hall until a decision acceptable to the KP community was adopted. As a result, the deputies voted to allocate a piece of land in the center of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky. Earlier, according to the project, it was planned to build a registry office there.
In May 2017, the radicals splashed brilliant green paint on the deputy, who refused to vote for permitting the representatives of the Kiev Patriarchate to develop documentation on the territory where they are going to build the church.
