President signs a decree on celebration of the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus
The anniversary of the Baptism of Rus will be celebrated in 2018.
The text of the decree says:
"In order to prepare and celebrate in 2018 the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine, I decree:
1. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine:
1) to form the Organizing Committee for the preparation and celebration of the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine;
2) to develop, with the participation of religious organizations and public associations, and approve an action plan for the preparation and celebration of the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine.
2. To regional, Kyiv city state administrations to ensure the implementation of activities for the preparation and celebration of the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine.
3. This Decree comes into force from the date of its publication.
