High Commissioner to consider violations of the UOC believers’ rights

Head of the UOC Representation at International Organizations Bishop of Baryshevka Victor (Kotsaba) met in with the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. It is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to draft laws No. 4128, No. 5309 and No. 4511, which violate the norms of international law and whose anti-church character has been repeatedly noted by experts.

Bishop Victor spoke about the discrimination of the rights of believers of the UOC in Ukraine from 2015.

The High European Commissioner assured that he will personally consider the situation with the rights of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
