Kolomyia eparchy of KP assures OSCE it establishes peace in the region

On November 6, during the meeting with representatives of the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine, UOC-KP “bishop” of Kolomyia Julian said his eparchy always takes a legal and well-considered position in resolving conflict situations, writes the site of the Kyiv Patriarchate.

"Bishop" Julian discussed with the mission's observers – John Hunt from Ireland and Giorgio Zelkiewiu from Italy – the implementation of joint projects that will reduce tensions and contribute to the establishment of peace, stability and security in the region.

At the same time, on November 12, representatives of the Kyiv Patriarchate, headed by the manager of the UOC KP eparchy bishop Julian, with the support of the Kolomyia police, despite protests from the UOC believers, held a service in the Holy Dormition church of the village of Stary Gvozdets, from which the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was driven out.

On October 22, in Ostrovets village, Gorodenka district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, members of the Kyiv Patriarchate demanded that they be given a possibility to hold a divine service in the temple of St. George the Victorious, which belongs to the UOC community

The UOC believers did not open the temple and conducted the service near the church.
