SBU in Donbass looking for manipulative texts published by UOC

The inquiry is made via the study of the church literature and interrogation of witnesses, told at the round table "Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine: Historical Parallels and Modern Dimension" in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region, Colonels of the SBU Valery Udovichenko and Yulia Laputina, reportst IA Vchasno.

"The investigation is carried out through scientific expertise, identification of documents, evidence of people who saw or were participants in the activities carried out by the UOC-MP," said Col. Yulia Laputina. “The questioning of witnesses and collection of evidence is being carried out  and the church literature is being examined for the existence of manipulative texts."

Representatives of the SBU also assert that in 2014 in Donetsk region the brothers of the Holy Assumption Sviatogorsk Lavra placed on the reverse side the icon of the Mother of God "a prayer of pro-Russian content" and distributed it at the Easter holidays.

Earlier, the monastery denied unsubstantiated allegations of an allegedly found "certificate in the name of the colonel of the FSB Yakovenko", owned by the vicar of the Holy Dormition Sviatogorsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseniy.

Additionally, the Security Service of Ukraine did not confirm the information, published in mass media, on the dissemination of the anti-Ukrainian literature by the Holy Dormition Sviatogorsk Lavra. The experts explained why special services had also joined the attack on the UOC.
