UAOC priests obliged to finish worship with prayers for Poroshenko

The UAOC will now finish Divine services with a prayer for supporters of autocephaly

It is said in a circular letter on behalf of the Primate of the UAOC Makariy, published by the press-service of the UAOC under the title “A request to each conscientious Ukrainian to perform a daily sincere prayer”.

"After each Sunday or festive divine service, prayers should be offered for Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the Holy Synod, the President of Ukraine and all those who are doing everything possible to receive Tomos of autocephaly for the Orthodox Church in Ukraine," the UAOC Circular said.

Makariy also blessed all bishops to organize extended diocesan councils, which have to communicate the information about the meeting of the UAOC episcopate and the Patriarchal Council with Poroshenko.

“Besides, we express our gratitude to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and all the conscientious MPs for today’s historical voting”, concludes the newsletter of the press-service.
