Dean: UOC parishes of Brovary will remain faithful to canonical Church

Primate of the UOC His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry and Protopriest Alexander Levchuk, the Dean of the First Brovary Deanery

Father Alexander Levchuk, rector of the Peter and Paul Church, the Dean of the First Brovary Deanery noted that his parish and he would remain in the bosom of the thousand-year canonical Church, reports “Brovary Tribune”.

According to Father Alexander, if someone from the clergy of the Deanery decides to move to a new church structure, he will not hinder but will defend the parishes from seizure attempts.

The same opinion was expressed by Protopriest Alexander Stepaniuk, the rector of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica Church on Torgmash. He explained that the community would not go to the OCU, because the parishioners themselves chose which church to attend.

As reported, earlier the eparchial council and the clergy of the Tulchin eparchy at their annual meeting unanimously supported the assessment of the UOC hierarchy of the “Unification Council”.
