On April 30, 2019, the meeting of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine with the newly elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Alexandrovich Zelensky was held in the Metropolitan's residence in Feofania, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

According to the resource, Vladimir Zelensky congratulated His Beatitude on the Holy Resurrection of Christ.

In turn, Metropolitan Onuphry congratulated Vladimir Alexandrovich on Easter, as well as on his election as President of Ukraine. The Primate of the UOC wished Vladimir Zelensky God's blessings on the new and responsible way of serving Ukraine and its people.

The parties also discussed the church situation that has developed in our country.
