UOC Primate: I serve the Church rather than command it
"Word of the Primate" on Inter TV channel
A person should become like what the Church wants to see him to be, but not adjust the Church to suit him. The Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, will speak about this in the next airplay of the “Word of the Primate” program.
“I follow the laws of the Church, but I do not lay down the laws of the Church. I obey the Church, which means I do what the Church says. If a person wants to be perfect, he should attach himself to the Church,” said His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry in a video announcement which the Inter TV channel posted on Facebook.
The previous, 31st production of the program, was dedicated by the Primate of the UOC to the importance of helping people who are weak and in need of our help.
