Clergy and Orthodox youth of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church donated blood for wounded military personnel.

Clergy and laity of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kyiv, Pochaiv, and Chernivtsi donated blood for wounded service members, according to social media posts by Archbishop Iona (Cherepanov), Pochaiv Theological Seminary, and faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.

In Kyiv, on March 5, Archbishop Iona, abbot of the Holy Trinity St. Jonah Monastery, donated blood for wounded soldiers for the 13th time since the start of the full-scale war. Two other believers also took part in the donation alongside him.

That same day in Pochaiv, students and faculty of the theological seminary likewise donated blood for the needs of the military.

On March 6, Orthodox youth from the Ark Brotherhood of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy, with the blessing of Metropolitan Meletiy, joined the blood donation effort. Representatives of the youth group said the Blood Center at 36 Ukrainska Street is currently facing a shortage of donor blood, and medics are urging all those willing to help to come forward.

As the UOJ previously reported, clergy and faithful of the Rivne Eparchy donated blood for children with cancer.
